Explorer and iexplorer integrated infections
There are however infestations that attach itself to your core MS Explorer and IE Explorer processes. Typically these type of viruses effect a command via explorer to log on to the net. This means when your Windows program starts, these unwanted programs are part of the primary processes and cannot be deleted in the registry, even after identifying the files. Starting in safe mode or from the cmd prompt does not help either as it is already running in the system.
Typically after normal logon your desktop and taskbar disappears. Restoring your system to a previous state and deleting restore points brings short term relief. The unwanted programs are still part of the windows operating system, explorer and iexplorer processes. After logging on to the web the taskbar and Desktop disappears again.
Vundu Fix by Atribune should get rid of this type of infection.
